Introduction to the Rescue

Animals in Need of a New Address (ANNA) is an Canadian rescue organization.  We are committed to helping rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in need of care. Animals come to us through rescue or retirement from owners. We depend on donations in order to help us serve our mission

Our rescue is founded on some basic principles:  kindness, respect, and non-oppressive practice.  Kindness to all living creatures great and small, respect for one another, those we care for and the world around us and ensuring we take a non-oppressive approach in our care of the dogs we are entrusted with in our rescue.  We do not have a shelter but support our animals through a network of foster homes.

Navigate to the “ADOPT ME” page to View the Animals that are available for adoption. And also fill in the application form.

We have a new Auction Group!

We run regular auctions, all online via Facebook.  These auctions together with our Animals in Need of a New Address Group sales and donations are our main fundraising activities.  Like all rescues, we had to do some fast adjusting to new ways of raising funds to cover our vetting costs when the global pandemic resulted in a lack of in-person events.
